Our Environmental Pledge 2026–2028
Poike Productio produces art and film sustainably and internationally. We are Finland’s most creative and sustainable production company, for whom carbon negativity has been a core value since the founding in 2020.
We proactively reduce the environmental impact of Poike Production’s operations, acknowledging the significance of our choices across all materials, procurement, sub-contracting, logistics, and waste management solutions.
Recycling, waste sorting, plant-based catering, the use of active travel and public transport, and the avoidance of flying are everyday essentials for us. In our daily work and productions, we ensure that crews and participants are well-briefed, making sustainable practices (travel, waste sorting, recycling, procurement, and catering) seamless and familiar.
We achieve our greatest proactive environmental impact through negotiations and competitive tendering with our sub-contractors and partners. We incorporate an environmental perspective into all Poike Productio’s quotes, project plans, and contracts. We proactively budget for environmental impact assessments and offsetting within our projects and services, reporting the results both upon projects’ completion and at the end of each financial year.
Combining international operations with sustainable travel requires constant effort, but we aim to lead by example. When planning any international trip, we assess its necessity and explore the feasibility of land-based travel (considering cost, route, and time).
We produce films, art, communications, events, and training where environmental value is woven naturally into the content. We communicate our environmental goals and ecological sustainability through our own channels and products.
We are committed to the Nordic Ecological Standard for the film industry. We monitor the development of environmental responsibility within the creative sectors – particularly in visual arts and cinema – and actively participate in relevant training and networks.
